JOB DETAILS:
MWANZI FLOWER FARM is an Established Roses Flower Farm with years of experience in growing and exporting flowers to various parts of the world and is currently seeking to fill the position of Pack house Manager to be based at Rumuruti. The Pack House Manager will be tasked with the duty to assist and support the Farm Manager with the operational activities of the pack house, managing the team and ensuring operational plans are implemented and outcomes achieved. .

  Job Roles and Responsibilities
• Management of the pack house operations including all pack house staff and operations
• Liaise with the Marketing and ensure that the customer requirements are met.
• Leadership and direction in the pack house processes and documentation.
• Develop & Implement crop packaging planning and scheduling of supply budgets
• Analyze and report on post-harvest financial parameters established for the site.
• Report grower production data for reconciliation purposes
• Ensure compliance to pack house safety operating procedures of staff for all equipment and machinery on site and maintain facilities to a compliant standard at all times.
• Develop and train a team of pack house staff.
• Manage plant and equipment, building assets and maintenance schedules
• Manage and ensure all pack house technical specifications are implemented, managed, recorded, monitored and audited.

Minimum Requirements for the Pack House Manager Job
• Degree or Diploma in an agricultural related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Manager in Horticulture /Floriculture pack house.
• Prior to attaining the position must have worked as a Grading Supervisor / Quality controller and Post-Harvest Manager
• Health & Safety: Awareness of H&S legislative requirements, and experience in the implementation.
• Experience in managing and working within a set budget
• A good understanding of numerical or financial information
• Competency in MS- Office and Excel.
