Your tasks and responsibilities
• Driving commercial success: Analyze and identify new business growth opportunities in the region for the assigned portfolio (Point of care).
• Develop commercial strategy for the assigned POC portfolio and drive commercial success via marketing initiatives and regional customer engagements.
• Driving POC product launches and support on Launch from market assessment to go-to-market.
• Represent needs and interest of end customers and affiliates in MESA’s East/West Africa Region.
• Prioritize input across the Region (MESA’s East/West African countries); Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, and Nigeria.
• Exercise customer-centric business thinking beyond the product / service by evaluating on potential customers and addressing needs from commercial to operational challenges.
• Managing the business partners for POC sales and services activities to be a trusted partner for our customers.
• Develop an understanding of market structure (public / private) and major hospitals (secondary and tertiary care) and understand the POC needs for these groups.
• The POC Business Partner Manager along with the Country Manager explains our Healthcare strategy to the business partner and ensures his buy-in. From this starting, the BPM is working together with the Business Partner on the country strategy, establishing a suitable POC market presence and working on accounts and sales funnel following a structured approach.
• Support the country manager by using the available tools, to plan the market approach together with the Business Partner and have a common understanding of Go-to Market strategy as well as major topics of the upcoming Fiscal Year.
Report to MESA Business Lead, Point of Care.
Based in Kenya, covering MESA’s East/West African countries

Your attributes and skills
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar discipline; Sales, Partner Management, Sales Support.
• Proven knowledge and expertise in healthcare industry in MESA’s East/West Africa countries, preferably in laboratory diagnostics and area of focus (Point of care)
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Business discipline.
• High level of communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
• Self-motivated and proactive in achieving goals with minimal supervision
• Well-organized and with good track record in prioritizing and simultaneously managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proven experience leading cross functional teams in an agile environment
• Stakeholder management skill with the experience of collaborations with both internal and multiple types of external stakeholders.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
