JOB DETAILS:
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by Section 11(2) of the Public Audit Act, 2015, 1, Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, declare a vacancy In the position of the Auditor-General and invite applications from qualified persons for nomination for appointment to the office. .

Job Qualifications:
• be a citizen of Kenya;
• have extensive knowledge of public finance, or at least ten (10) years' experience in auditing or public finance management;
• hold a degree in finance, accounting or economics from a University recognized in Kenya;
• meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and,
• be a practicing member of good standing of a professional body of accountants recognised by law.
A person is not eligible for appointment as the Auditor-General if such person;
• is a member of Parliament or County Assembly;
• is an official of the governing body of a political party:
• is an undischarged bankrupt; and,
• has been removed from office for contravention of any law.
