JOB DETAILS:
Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Perishables Division:
• Head of the fresh produce operations and documentation departments.
• Working closely with the bookings team to run through daily/ weekly bookings done by all shippers.
• Supervising the BUP team while planning the different weekly shifts
• Overseeing communication to the carriers on the space booked and secured as well as ensuring timely communication of any changes to all the parties involved.
• Assessment and daily planning of booked shipments.
• Confirmation of equipment allocated by carriers and communication of the same to shippers on time.
• Monitoring cut off timelines for trucks arrival at JKIA and ensuring cargo & shipping documents are handed over to carriers on time / within cut-off time.
• Coordination of cargo build up at the different sheds with the help of the team.
• Ensure proper build-up of pallets with nil cases of pallets collapsing, as well as confirming that the right contours are achieved for the different aircrafts.
• Ensuring right documentation is done for the different shipments and pre alerts are sent on time.
• Overseeing proper filing of dockets for all perishable cargo handled
• Constant follow up of last mile (cargo clearance and delivery) for the different sectors.
• Oversee timely offloading and release of trucks as per the standard operating procedures documented.
• Ensure SOP is followed to the latter by the entire bookings and operations teams.
• Overseeing follow up of pallets return to the different airline’s sheds in the different sectors.
• Coordination with the security team on the ground at the different sheds when moving the BUPs from the cold room to the airside
• Any other role assigned by the management and the directors.
