About Us
CashBackApp (https://www.cashbackmobileapp.com/) is a VC backed retail tech app in Kenya that helps consumers in Africa save money off their monthly household shopping and food budget (which normally is 30%-40% of a typical middle to low-income household’s budget). At the same time, we provide a platform to Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies and Retailers to efficiently promote and market their products through cash back offers on the app thereby growing their sales and collecting high quality consumer insights. We are looking for a Mid-level to Senior Full Stack Mobile Developer with a strong skew towards IOS to the join team and support us in developing customer facing mobile solutions to advance our objective of helping Kenyans and Africans at large save of their monthly spend. Our technology stack includes but not limited to:
• Backend - AWS (service include Lambda in Java, Cognito, RDS MySQL, S3, pinpoint, LightSail etc.) and m-pesa API.
• API - Restful API based off AWS API Gateway
• Front End - Android Java, IOS flutter, Web app Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience with the following skills. Front End
• 4+ Years’ experience in IOS development
• Proficient in Objective-C, Swift or Flutter
• Have published 3+ iOS apps in the app store.
•Knowledge of Android Java will be a big advantage.
• Knowledge of the WhatsApp API, integrating to it and developing chatbots on it with also be an added advantage. Back End
• Knowledge and experience in using AWS services is key (this is the current backend)
• Experience in developing REST APIs using AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda in Java
• Proficient with MySQL database
• Quality-minded and interested in all parts of software development: coding, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• Experience writing automated tests at all levels - unit, integration and acceptance testing. Are you the one we are looking for? We are looking for motivated and independent thinking developers. How will the recruitment process work? • When you are ready, you’ll go through an online skill assessment.
• There will be an in-person or online interview during which you will be expected to demonstrate your experience. We will weave in a case study in this interview to tease out you level of experience.
• Traditional reference checks etc will occur after this stage. Candidates who get past this will go into an induction program
