JOB DETAILS:
Medical Officer
REPORTS TO: MEDICAL OFFICER INCHARGE
CLOSING DATE: 1st FEB 2021 .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide a continuous on-site medical support service to meet the needs of patients, consultants and all clinical staff.
• Provide emergency procedures and general service to all clinical areas.
• Conduct major and minor ward rounds as required and be available to discuss patient treatment plans.
• Manage any changes in medical condition of patients on behalf of consultants
• Conduct and participate in Continuous Medical Education. (CME)
• Participate and assist consultants in performing medical and surgical procedures.
• Ensure that professional clinical standards are complied with in all the clinical departments of the hospital
• Ensure the availability, accuracy, and high level of confidentiality of the medical records and medical information.
• Write discharge summaries and medical reports for patients

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Have a Bachelor of medicine and surgery from a KMPDC recognized institution.
2. Be registered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council.
3. Successfully completed one year internship from a recognized institution.
4. Excellent public relations and communication skills.
5. Sound diagnostic skills and Judgment
6. Professional insurance Indemnity Cover
7. Excellent problem solving and decision making- skills
8. At least two years of experience working in a busy hospital
