Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Contract
Qualifications
- Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Medical Laboratory Technologist III, Job Group ‘H’;
- A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized in Kenya;
- A registration certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologists Board (KMLTTB); and
- A valid practicing license from the Keya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
Responsibilities
- Carrying out blood grouping and screening for blood transfusion infections;
- Issuing blood and blood products to health facilities as per request;
- Preparing blood products for safe custody or use;
- Decontaminating working benches;
- Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens;
- Receiving, collecting, labelling and registering specimens;
- Disaggregating specimens for processing and analysis;
- Preparing stains and reagents;
- Dispatching the results for use in clinical management; and
- Recruiting, preparing and bleeding of donors for transfusion services.
