Job title: Marketing Intern

Overview
Hudaco Kenya is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our growing marketing department and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and content marketing, then we want to work with you. Your work will include administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies, preparing promotional presentations, monitoring social media platforms, and conducting market analysis.
You should possess a strong passion for marketing and public relations industry with a keen attention to detail and be an outgoing and hardworking individual. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and social media platforms.
This internship will provide significant hands-on insight into a fast-paced role, as well as invaluable learning about the marketing industry.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
• Assist with social media management, particularly on Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook; which includes sending direct messages, maintaining 100% response rate to comments, and searching for interesting and inspiring content.
• Collect and maintain a strong library of member stories and photos.
• Help in the creation of biweekly newsletters, including sourcing content and writing copy.
• Research influencers and partners for future collaborations and takeovers.
• Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback and organize and present social media analytics reports (quantitative and qualitative data).
• Prepare detailed promotional presentations.
• Help with the planning and hosting of marketing events.
• Research and evaluate competitor marketing and digital content
• Contribute to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content that will drive high engagement.
• Perform market analysis and research on competition
• Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

Qualifications:
• Background in Business, Communications, Creative Writing or other related Social Science major
• Passionate about ICT
• Highly motivated for personal growth and advancement
• Demonstrate excellent team communication and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience managing social media platforms for a brand or publication.
• Know Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn inside and out and are up-to-date on latest trends.
• Solid grammar, editing, and proof-reading capabilities.
• Comfortable working with analytics and making decisions based on data.
• Ready to roll up your sleeves and work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
• Extreme attention to detail is a must!
• Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
• Must have a passion for marketing.
• Outstanding multitasking abilities.
• Strong desire to learn along with professional drive
• Solid understanding of different marketing techniques
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics and Google Adwords etc)
