Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited, a Water and Sewerage Service Provider serving Uasin Gishu County, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:
Maintenance Officer (Electro-Mechanical) : JOB REF-ELDOWAS/2019/M0/01
Reporting To: The Head of Technical Services
Job summary: The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that all the company installations operate efficiently, effectively and optimally at all times. Department: Technical Services
Terms of service: Permanent and Pensionable at Grade 8
Requirements for appointment
The ideal officer should have the following minimum requirements:
• A Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in electromechanical engineering, automotive engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of six (6) years relevant working experience three (3) of which should have been in a large water utility will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in computer operations and skills.
• Have proven supervision experience as well as strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of periodic maintenance schedules and budgets for all company installations.
• Ensuring adherence to all preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Ensure timely repairs at all times to minimize down times of company installations.
• Evaluate maintenance processes for potential improvements in quality, reliability, turnaround times and costs.
• Ensure availability of quality maintenance parts and materials at all times.
• Design and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
• Research on and recommend new efficient equipment for the company installations
• Overall supervision of all the maintenance staff, ensuring that they receive adequate resources, tools, protective clothing and training required to perform their work
