About the Client:
• Our client is a leading innovative construction solutions provider in East Africa who has a proven track record of performance driven by solid knowledge and experience in the construction industry and is seeking to recruit a dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance operations at their company.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance activities.
• Regularly inspect the facility to identify areas requiring maintenance or repairs.
• Lead and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and efficiency.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance services and repairs.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance projects within budgetary constraints
• Act as a liaison between management and the maintenance team to address concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Communicate maintenance priorities and updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with management to develop the annual maintenance budget.
• Monitor and control maintenance expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals.
• Recruit, train, and onboard maintenance personnel to meet operational needs.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers for equipment, spare parts, and maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment performance data, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies in all maintenance activities.


Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience 5plus years in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in maintenance operations.
