JOB DETAILS:
Beyond Zero was launched in January 2014 as a high level advocacy platform to contribute towards saving the lives of mother and children in Kenya. Beyond Zero complements national efforts by accelerating policy and programme implementation and further, by influencing investments for strategic, high impact interventions towards zero new HIV infections and zero maternal and child deaths. **** Beyond Zero seeks to leverage on the convening power of its Patron, the Her Excellency Margaret Kenyatta the First Lady of the Republic of Kenya, by mobilizing partners to spearhead amongst other things: greater community and household sensitization on adoption of preventive health practices/behaviors; to support existing health and community systems as well as catalyzing innovation and accelerated action by stakeholders and political leaders to ensure that all Kenyans adopt a healthy life style. The Beyond Zero Secretariat is looking for an M & E Assistant to effectively implement the M & E Plan for the Strategic Framework for the Engagement of the First Lady in the Promotion of Healthy Lives and Well-Being of Women, Children and Adolescents 2018-2022 .
Job Responsibilities:
• Support in the development and implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning system, tools and plan;
• Support the development and maintenance of database system;
• Assisting with the design and management of program reviews and evaluations
• Support the preparation of technical briefs, annual technical reports, human interest or case stories, photos, press releases, newspaper articles and e-bulletin/newsletters.
• Assist with design and develop project proposals for Beyond Zero;
• Support the annual program reviews and documenting of good practices and lessons learned;
• Support with the compilation of all grant and technical information reports to donors;
• Represent Beyond Zero at relevant networks, workshops, seminars and policy events as required
Job Skills:
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Public Health;
• Postgraduate certification will be an added advantage in Project Management or Monitoring & Evaluation or Public Health;
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience including programme management
