Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology (KWUST) is a private, women’s only Kenyan university from inception to operation. It is the first university of its kind in Eastern and Southern Africa which comprise 23 countries in total. As a women’s only university, our main objective is to bridge the gap in gender representation in higher education as well as contributing to the social and economic development of the country. The institution was founded on 15th May 2002 through the issuance of a Letter of Interim Authority (LIA) by the Government of Kenya through the Commission for Higher Education. .

Job Qualifications:
• Applicant must have a Masters degree in Library Science from a recognized University and a proven work experience of at least three (3) years as an Assistant Librarian of which 2 years must be experience gained in an institution of higher learning or a reputable organization. He must have excellent knowledge of relevant ICT applications, integrated library software’s and e-resources, bed ynarnic person with ability to provide effective leadership and promote teamwork and be a registered member of relevant professional bodies. He/she should demonstrate proven ability to promote provision of library support services, implement library policy. review library resources and submit reports regularly, able to prepare proposals for acquisition of library materials among other responsibilities
