Full time Lead Software Engineer position in a fast-growing startup

ParkShare is a fast-growing startup looking for a Lead Software Engineer who can join us in developing the platform, lead our tech team, and become part of ParkShares journey. We are looking for a person with the right technical skillset and a curiosity to learn, as working in a startup can be both challenging and thrilling. The right candidate is someone who shares the passion, motivation, and optimism of building up a company and a new platform with ParkShare.
ParkShare is a sharing economy platform for parking spots, where private people as well as companies, can rent out their parking spots when they don’t need them and get an extra income. At the same time, the parking spots become more easily accessible for drivers, who need parking. The Software Development team is therefore essential in ParkShare as they are developing and improving the platform that our services are built on.

As our Lead Software Engineer, you will have an essential role in developing and implementing features. You will also be managing the tech team with their respective tasks, version control, backlog in close collaboration with our CEO.
The perfect candidate is:
• Team player. It is a necessity that you can manage and lead a small team.
• Great at keeping an overview of the tech tasks and backlog as you will be given a lot of responsibility.
• Good social and collaboration skills since we use a lot of teamwork.
• Familiar with SCRUM and Trello.
• Fluent in English, as ParkShare is an international workplace so the main language we speak here is English.
• Able to work remotely and have access to WiFi, a computer with the Microsoft Office programs and working space as equipment will not be provided.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Assist in leadership of the ParkShare’s tech team and work alongside them in developing the platform
• Lead the decision process regarding what features and versions will be developed and implemented together with the management team and the tech team.
• Lead SCRUM meetings.
• Engage in deployment process and manage the software development in Gitlab.
• Maintain and expand database in MSSQL.

Technical skills and knowledge required:
• Relational database
• React.js and React Native
• Object-oriented programming, including C#.NET
• Gitlab/Github
• REST API
• HTML5/CSS
• SASS-SCSS
• JavaScript
• Deployment

Technical skills and knowledge that is not required but nice to have:
• Docker
• CI-CD
• AWS

We are located in The Kitchen in Aarhus, which is the city’s biggest community for entrepreneurs, so we work alongside many other amazing startups. Working hours are generally from 9am - 5pm as this correlates with our office hours in Denmark. You will be working remotely but in close contact with the whole team in Denmark.
The daily and general contact, as well as meetings, will be done through Discord. A lot of the daily contact will require video and audio on calls, so we can create a better team spirit as it´s important to us, that you actually feel like a part of the team. To improve the connection even further, our CEO will be visiting you in Kenya multiple times throughout the year.
