JOB DETAILS:
• The role would suit an experienced PC or JPM looking for line management experience and seeking to develop their skills before progressing to PM level. The JPM is a pivotal role on a large production team; you’ll work very closely with the production managers and provide support to the rest of the production management team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and experience of high level natural history production management within a very supportive environment.
• This role is offered initially for 12 months but with the expectation that the successful applicant could retain the position for up to three years to enable them to experience large scale production throughout all stages of production (contingent on greenlight).

Role Responsibility
This role will offer the successful candidate experience of:

• Line management responsibilities: Direct line management of PMAs and operational oversight of other roles on the team, particularly relating to production management, post and kit.
• Budgeting: working closely with the PMs and the accountants to maintain an overview of the budget. Responsible for specific areas of the production budget whilst supporting the rest of the team with preparation and management of their episode budgets. Working extensively with ready reckoners and cost managers on PMI.
• Complex Filming & Contracts – Involvement in setting up difficult shoots and negotiating and dealing with complex contracts as well as supporting the PC team with these.
• Scheduling and strategy – working as part of the series management team to schedule effectively and plan best use of people any resources through the various stages of production
• Post-production – scheduling and day-to-day management of the post-production schedule.
• BFI and SPV experience – assisting the PMs and production accountant in setting up and running the production as an SPV.
• Third party relationships – working closely with the senior management team to ensure smooth, regular communications with our partners at Nat Geo & Disney+, helping to ensure that we are meeting all of our client’s requirements.
• End-to-end production experience – HOME: Asia is in pre-production; by joining the team at this initial stage, you will gain a thorough understanding of all the production processes required to produce very high end, long-running, ambitious landmark series.

Are you the right candidate?
• Experience of production budgets, assessing financial viability of content ideas, ensuring resources and editorial aspirations are aligned.
• Commitment to championing sustainability and promoting green initiatives as well as our strong Diversity and inclusion ethos.
• Considerable experience of delivering a range of TV productions across various platforms or genres, including natural history, on time and on budget.
• Experience of monitoring and managing health and safety on a production.
• Proven track record of being organised and responsive in fast paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills – effectively disseminating information through the team and ensuring timely responses as well as a good sense of when to escalate issues.
