Personal Assistant to the Director

Job Summary

Provide full administrative and secretarial support at a senior level to the Executive Director to ensure the smooth management of her day to day affairs, and most effective use of her time. Handle sensitive and complex issues in a professional and objective manner. Take initiative as appropriate especially in the Executive Director’s absence.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage Executive Director’s electronic diary, assessing priority of appointments and reallocation as necessary.
  • Manage Executive Director’s travel arrangements (includingvisas/accommodation).
  • Process Executive Director’s correspondence, ensuring that incoming correspondence is dealt with by the Executive Director/or on behalf of
  • the Executive Director, or other staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain the Executive Director’s office systems, including data management and filing.
  • Maintain records of Executive Director’s contacts.
  • Screen calls, enquiries and requests, and deal with them when appropriate.
  • Meet and greet visitors at all levels of seniority.
  • Supervise all Society’s incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the Director

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Experienced Personal Assistant at senior management level.
  • Experience of electronic diary management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, to enable professional interaction with a wide range of contacts, both internal and aexternal to the University.
  • Ability to organize and plan own work.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritize and re-prioritize.

 

Motorbike Delivery Rider

Job Scope

Kenya Society for the Blind seeks seek to hire a delivery rider who will be responsible for delivering orders to clients using the most efficient routes to ensure prompt delivery and exceptional customer service

Responsibilities

  • Prompt delivery of orders to clients
  • Ride and deliver/collect assignments as directed.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients
  • Ensuring products are well handled and delivered in good condition and on time.
  • Forwarding any customer complaints and following up to ensure they are solved.
  • Collecting check payments from clients and handing them over to the finance department and delivering receipts to clients.
  • Maintaining the delivery bike in a presentable clean state and ensuring it is serviced and insured.
  • Maintain a high order fulfilment rate
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ensure compliance with proper traffic rules governing road usage in towns.
  • Ensure paramount safety of motorbike and company property at all times.
  • Perform pre-start checks before the commencement of any journey
  • Sharing client’s feedback 
  • Advise supervisor when a bike is due for service 
  • Any other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid motorbike license (BCFG license)
  • Minimum of 2-3-years’ experience riding with good geographical knowledge of Nairobi and its environs.
  • Proven track record as a rider
  • High school certificate.
  • Able to effectively communicate in Kiswahili and English
  • Must have good customer service skills
  • Must be a quick learner to understand the nature of the business.
  • Able to handle challenges and be proactive.
  • Be honest, respectful and trustworthy.
  • Demonstrate sound work ethics and must have good communication skills

 

Pharmaceutical Sales Executive

Job Purpose:

The Pharmacist will ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in the eye clinic and within the Health promotion department by identifying opportunities and gaining new business while maintaining existing business for the Society. He/she will also be responsible to ensure consistent sales growth and achievement of sales goals and targets in assigned territory by identifying opportunities and gaining new business while maintaining existing business for the Society.

Pharmacy Management:

  • Provide advice for non-prescription medications
  • Monitor drugs and other medical supplies levels and initiate the procurement process.
  • Take inventory and track medication and supply orders
  • Keep records of all drug stocks ordered, drugs issued to clients and stocks remaining.
  • Arrange drugs in the required manner
  • Dispensing of prescriptions, Patient counseling and counter- prescribing to optimize the Pharmacy Sales.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the Pharmacy and all storage areas and conforming to good storage practices
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Eye Drop Sales:

  • Recruiting and managing existing customers within the pharmacy channel
  • Planning, developing and coordinating with relevant persons to implement the product training and Congress plan.
  • Planning and execution of Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) training events as per set plans and brand guidelines
  • Delivering effective brand communications as per the brand guidelines
  • Effective distribution of marketing materials amongst HCPs and within the pharmacy channel
  • Attend medical congresses and actively engage with HCPs to transfer belief in the brand, influence perceptions and build rapport
  • Recruiting and managing existing customers within the pharmacy channel.
  • Market products to prospective and existing customers by conducting
  • CMEs at their work places

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poison Board
  • Degree/ Diploma holder from a recognized institution.
  • Original Professional and academic certificates with up to date license
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position
  • Strong customer care skills
  • In depth knowledge of the market and the changing environment.
  • Strong negotiations and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and assertive with strong relational and networking skills
