Requirements for appointment:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized University. i
• Relevant work experience.
• Membership to a professional body.
• Professional qualifications such as CCNA, CISA etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform network design and capacity planning
• Installs, configures, and maintains network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and hotspots. 
• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
• Conduct research on modern network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
• Managing Access control systems in the university

Requirements for appointment as Tutorial Fellow

The applicant must:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree qualification from an accredited and recognized university in the relevant field.
• Be registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification.
• Be registered or registrable with the relevant professional body (where applicable).
• Demonstrate potential for university teaching and research.
• Appointments will be on contract for two years’ renewable once during which time he/she should have obtained a PhD.
