JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for leading in designing and implementing the organization’s community and networks engagement interventions in relation to criminal justice reform, access to justice and accountability. Empowering communities, organising for change, establishing communities of practice, s/he is the liaison between local communities and the organization and helps to ensure that the organization understands and respects the needs of stakeholders at community level, while also helping to facilitate positive relationships. The position is the link between local and national level advocacy for change in the criminal justice sector.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBS

Managerial / Supervisory/ Operational Responsibilities or roles:
1) Develops and leads the implementation of IMLU’s network and community strategies and ensures they are adhered to;
2) Maintains a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities;
3) Nurtures new and old relationships with collaborative partners especially social justice centres, community-based organisations and other human rights organizations involved in the anti- torture campaign;
4) Actively participates and represents the organisation in various networks/platforms and movements and provide information about the organization’s mission, programs, and activities;
5) Collects feedback from members of the community about their needs and concerns, which may be used to develop new programs or improve existing ones;

JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of the position is to provide leadership in the Human Resource, procurement and general administrative function of the organisation.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBS

Managerial / Supervisory/ Operational Responsibilities or roles:

1) Responsible for management of all Human Resources Records and data;

2) Drafts all HR and administration letters while managing incoming and outgoing correspondences;

3) Manages all IMLU’s office administrative functions;

4) Manages leave schedules and leave administration for all staff;

5) Ensures registration of new employees to Insurance medical schemes and updates the medical scheme database including processing staff badges and business cards for all employees;

6) Ensures that all new staff members bring all the required information to facilitate the opening of a file;

7) Organises interviews, seminars/training and workshops for the employees;

8) Provides reports on various aspects relating to staff e.g. turnover rates, exits, and leave numbers to the Head of Finance and Administration;

9) In consultation with the supervisor, renews all staff contracts and coordinate updating of all Job descriptions;

10) Assists in the implementation of the IMLU’s welfare programs;

11) Supervises preparation of office tea and all outsourced cleaning personnel to ensure a safe and healthy work environment as per OSHA requirements;


JOB PURPOSE
To provide leadership in all IT system-related functions within IMLU and general administrative support relating to programmes, HR, finance and procurement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBS

Managerial / Supervisory/ Operational Responsibilities or roles:

INSTITUTIONAL IT ROLES

1) Leads in all IT-related matters including the development of an institutional IT policy;

2) Leads in ensuring all IT equipment is in working condition;

3) Performs routine IT maintenance including troubleshooting, repairs, and allocation of equipment;

4) Supervises the external IT support person; identifying weekly assignments, and submitting reports to the line manager on weekly work completed by the external consultant;

5) Leads in IT-related contracting and up-to-date service provider contracts;

6) Maintains an accurate record of IT equipment allocation to staff and the status of all IT equipment;

7) Maintains IT systems to ensure that they are functional; safe and secure, accessible, and up-to-date;

8) Maintains and updates as necessary, all hardware and software configurations to ensure optimum operations in all departments;

9) Schedules periodic servicing and repairs, and upgrading/updating of IT equipment;

10) Ensures Backup data daily to avoid data loss;
