The County Assembly Service Board of Homa Bay invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the positions indicated below;

Chairperson, County Assembly Audit Committee (I Position)

The County Assembly of Homa Bay pursuant to Section 73(5) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012 and Section 155 of the Public Finance Management Regulations, 2015 is in the process of establishing an Audit Committee whose responsibilities and roles as are spelt out by the Regulations.

Requirement for Appointment

• Interested candidates should have a Minimum of a degree from a recognized University in the following fields: Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Economics, Risk Management or other related fields
• Have knowledge and experience of not less than Seven (7) years In: Audit and or Financial Management/ Accounting
• Be a citizen of Kenya
• Should possess strong interpersonal skills
• Have a good understanding of the County Assembly operations, Financial Management and reporting or Auditing
• Have a good understanding of the objects, principles and functions of the County Assembly
• Must be an affiliate of professional bodies' e.g. ICPAK, ICPSK, ACFE, IIA or other relevant body
• Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
• Have the requisite business and leadership skills and shall not be a political office holder

Member, County Assembly Audit Committee (2 Positions)

Requirement for Appointment

• Interested candidates should have a Minimum of a degree from a recognized University in the following fields. Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Economics, Risk management or other related fields
• Be a citizen of Kenya
• Have knowledge and experience of not less than Five (5) years Inc Audit and or Financial Management/Accounting
• Have a good understanding of the County Assembly operations, Financial Management and reporting/Auditing
• Have a good understanding of the objects, principles and functions of the County Assembly
• Meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010
• Membership of the following professional bodies will be an added advantage: ICPAK, ICPSK, ACFE, IA or any other relevant body
• Have the requisite business and leadership skills and shall not be a political office holder
