2 Land Surveyor IRequirements for AppointmentBachelor’s degree in land surveying from recognized institution; and
Certificate in computer application.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesCarrying out angular and distance measurements and computation for small density topographical, site engineering, general boundary and photo control surveys.
REQUIRED SKILLSReporting, Geographic information systems (GIS), Land use planning, Documentation and record keeping, Engineering
Principal ValuerRequirements for AppointmentBe in possession of Diploma in land economics (Real Estate) or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
Be registered with a professional body;
Nine (9) years’ experience in land valuation;
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
Be computer literate.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop automated and updated valuation database throughout the county;
Conducting research on market trends to inform land valuation policy formulation and review;
Keeping an asset register of values of all properties owned by government;
Monitoring and evaluation of valuation activities;
Preparation of valuation rolls and reports; and
Attending court and tribunals on matters relating to land valuation
Draught / CartographerRequirements for AppointmentDiploma in Urban Planning or Regional development or Cartography and Geomatic information;
Certificate in GIS; and
Certificate in Computer applications.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesChecking authenticity and clarity of map sheets prior to publication;
Provide technical support for charting and mapping requirements of all County Departments;
Check instrumental plots;
Carry out regular maintenance of cartographic and photometric instruments;
By use of ICT, digitalize maps as required by departments and other county stakeholders; and
Being custodian of all maps and topo-sheets at the county level.
