Retail Sales Executive

A Transport and Logistics company is seeking to hire a Retail sales executive whose responsibilities will be to drive sales and achieve the set targets, develops new and existing business and retaining customer accounts. He/she will act as a link between the customers and sales department by identifying sales opportunities, up selling and promoting internal business relationships and identify opportunities for sharing business leads and joint account support.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Marketing and closing sales of the company services in the retail branch
  2. Managing the office lines for orders and putting orders through on behalf of the customer and answer their queries on services
  3. Maintaining customer relations: Attending to customer grievances, queries and ensure timely closure of all issues
  4. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as directed by the management on various parameters touching on your daily assignments
  5. Recruit new clients through visits and phone calls among others
  6. Identifies, qualifies, and penetrates new business opportunities from existing and potential customers
  7. Schedules customer appointments with key decision-makers to overcome barriers and identify growth opportunities in the market
  8. Educates customers on available services and assist them in decision making
  9. Identifies account decliners and gainers to develop strategies for winning back business and promoting future growth

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Diploma in Sales and Marketing or any relevant field
  2. 2 years’ experience in sales and marketing in Retail Outlets
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal Skills-Verbal and Written (eloquent)
  4. High level of integrity
  5. Must have excellent Customer Service Skills
  6. Strong negotiations and presentation skills
  7. A strategic and innovative thinker
  8. Problem solving and decision making skills
  9. Team working and the ability to network effectively

Human Resource & Admin Officer

Human Resource & Admin Officer

Salary: Ksh 40,000

Our client, in logistics and Distribution Company is looking to hire a competent HR & Admin Officer who will assist in day to day HR administration functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage recruitment and selection of staff in line with the company’s operational requirements and provide administrative support.
  2. Actively engaged and involved in employee performance and evaluation.
  3. Prepare and coordinate induction programs for newly recruited employees.
  4. Maintain an effective record management system for employees to ensure confidentiality of official records. Monitor absences and report on the same, for example, annual leave, sickness, off days etc.
  5. Monitor process and take charge of the implementation of changes in the terms of service and advice payroll, managers and staff as necessary.
  6. Ensure all employees are registered with NSSF, NHIF, and that proper records are maintained and reports are generated and submitted in compliance with statutory regulations.
  7. Respond to manager and employee enquiries on all routine HR administration matters and where necessary, consult with the Human Resources Manager.
  8. Counsel employees with social, disciplinary and performance issues and where necessary refer such employees to the HRM where necessary.
  9. Administration of staff benefits as per company policy and procedure.
  10. Co-ordinate training activities and liaise with participants and providers to ensure training programmes run as scheduled and adequate training equipment and materials are available.
  11. Prepare HR reports as required from time to time.
  12. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  1. Higher National Diploma in human resources management.
  2. 2 years’ experience in a similar post, preferably in FMCG Sector.
  3. Strong communication skills.
  4. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  5. Effective listening skills.
