Your tasks
• You will be responsible for actively managing the part of Incofin’s Agro finance & Food portfolio in Africa region through increased investments and diversification of loan facilities, countries and crops.
• You will be responsible for covering the entire investment cycle from deal sourcing, due diligence and transaction execution to portfolio monitoring.
• You will be leading end-to-end debt investment transactions (rollovers and new loans), including sourcing, term sheet negotiation, due diligences, credit proposal writing, investment committee presentation, support in loan agreement drafting and portfolio monitoring.
• An important part of the role will also be to assist investees in timely financial, compliance and impact reporting and proactively identify risks and business opportunities in the Sub-Saharan region.
• You will be collaborating effectively with the local Incofin Kenya team and other Incofin regions and functions in regional offices and at the headquarters.
• You will also represent Incofin in different stakeholder meetings in order to support the positioning of the company’s brand.
Qualifications
• We are looking for an enthusiastic Investment Manager who has a solid and minimum 3 to 5 years proven experience in holding a similar role.
• The ideal candidate must have Agro and / Food sector experience, exposure in credit analysis and experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa developing markets.
• The qualified candidate must possess strong financial and credit analysis skills, excellent Excel skills and have a strong knowledge of accounting.
• Fluent written and oral communication skills in English is mandatory and knowledge of French is a plus. The role will require a strong affinity for impact and responsible finance, ability to work collaboratively with a global team, ability to manage work with tight deadlines and ability to adapt to evolving or rapidly changing environments.
• Position will require traveling widely in Africa. The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor or master’s degree in economics, finance or business administration (or other relevant education).
