Our Client, Brooke East Africa, is an international charity that protects and improves the lives of horses, donkeys, and mules. The charity works with owners, local vets, farriers, harness makers, animal traders, communities, and policymakers to bring about lasting improvements to the lives of working animals, giving people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty.
To support this primary mandate, our client is seeking to recruit open-minded, self-driven, result-oriented individuals of high integrity with passion for working animals to fill the following position; Internal Audit and Compliance Manager - HR/IACM/PKF 02 .

Job details:
• Reporting to the Board of Directors functionally and administratively to the Chief Executive Officer the Internal Audit and Compliance Manager will be responsible for providing the Board of Directors with assurance on the organization's (including partners) risk management effectiveness, internal controls, and governance processes by identifying and monitoring risks: regular reporting on mitigation actions taken against agreed actions, regular test of controls; compliance reviews, monitoring the implementation of policies and systems, and independently appraising the organization's financial, operational and information resources as per set policies, procedures and regulations.

Job requirements;
• The ideal candidate must be a holder of a Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a related field; be a CPA ACCA or CIA finalist: a member in good standing of ICPAK, ACCA, IK or any other relevant professional body have a minimum of four (4) years of post-qualification experience in social development sector, especially working with foreign funded NGOs, a Master's degree in Management, Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage.
• The candidate must also have good knowledge of relevant ERP Systems and a strong grasp of IFRS, GAAP and Internal Auditing standards.
