JOB DETAILS:
Unison Savings and Credit Co-operative Society is a medium size Sacco situated in Laikipia County and its environs seek to fill the following position: Insurance Agency Principal Officer. Report to the CEO, Shall be responsible for the day to day operations of the Agency. .

  Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular and systematic appraisals and evaluations of the insurance Agency's Operations and keep the CEO updated on the Same.
• Sourcing, managing and maintaining key relationships with external service providers.
• Develop and implement procedures and controls that will promote adequate communication and information flow which will solidify management control and direction of the organization.
• Developing a base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals, occupational and special interest groups to compile lists of prospects.
• Approaching potential clients by utilizing mailings and phone solicitation making presentations to groups at company-sponsored gatherings.
• Determining clients' particular needs and financial situations y scheduling fact finding appointments.
• Direct short-term and long term planning and budget development in line with the Agency's overall objectives and strategic business goals.
• Acquire, retain and create strategic partnerships to grow client base and revenue
• Giving sound insurance advisory services and support to the clients, selling insurance policies to customers.
• Monitor claims handling procedures for timely claims settlement for the clients as well as ensure compliance with IRA and other service level standards
• Proper and efficient coordination and administration o insurance services in the Agency

  Job Qualifications:
• Must be a holder of certificate of proficiency (C.O.P)
• Diploma in a Business related course will be an added advantage.
• Age 25 years and above.
• Sound knowledge of the insurance products and services and IRA regulations.
• Experience in the insurance industry with extensive knowledge of marketing issues. \High levels of professionalism, honest with impeccable integrity (high ethical standards)
• Good management ability with capacity to grow, support and develop talent within the subsidiary
• Excellent organization, delegation, performance management, administration, analytical influencing, negotiation and time management skills.
• Ability to meet reporting expectations of the Board, investors and statutory bodies
