JOB DETAILS:

The academy has the following vacancies. Job Summary Academy is looking to recruit a well-rounded IT Manager to lead our IT unit.

The role requires an exceptional and experienced individual to lead and manage the provision of technology in the school. The successful candidate will be required to work with the Unit staff to provide excellent proactive and reactive support to ensure the continuous availability of IT services within the school. He/she should be able to identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time, besides overseeing the security of data, network access and backup systems.

The IT Manager will lead the implementation of the school’s IT strategy and will work closely with all stakeholders. He/she should be able to design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies, procedures besides also providing full administrative support to the IT unit and will be responsible for IT-related licensing matters, upgrades, troubleshooting and assets.

Qualifications for the Information Technology Manager Job

  •  Degree in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science or other related fields.
  •  Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science & IT will be an added advantage.
  •  Three years relevant working experience
  • Member of ICT professional body e.g. ICTAK, CFSK, CISAK.
  •  Proficiency in computer applications.
  •  Demonstrated professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.
  •  Effective spoken and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues in simple terms
  •  Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet service needs
  •  Practical experience within a school environment would be advantageous
  •  Project management experience and the ability to balance competing priorities between multiple projects as well as operational support.
  •  Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  •  Ability to develop clear and concise documentation
  •  Experience in procurement, inventory and asset management of IT equipment as well as IT lifecycle.
