Join the Africa Data School July 2021 cohort, a 6-week program on building blockchain and cryptocurrency.
The course will be offered online due to the COVID 19 pandemic. It offers graduates the perfect opportunity to transition into the blockchain space and to kick-start their careers in the blockchain development
Course Fee is Kshs. 35,000.00

Expectations
What are we going to do during the 6 weeks?
• We will explore the basics of what is a blockchain and show you how to explore the bitcoin and ethereum blockchain. We will have demos for this.
• We will look at smart contracts.
• You will get the basics of decentralized applications and even deploy a decentralized application. (DAPPS)

By the end of the course
• You will have your own wallet to store cryptocurrencies.
• You will make your first (if you haven’t yet) transaction on the blockchain.
• Create a smart contract.
• Create your own token like ethereum, dodge and Tether.
• Create a decentralized application.

Projects
Students will develop a Blockchain project of their choice that they will present.
Project examples:
• A crypto exchange
• Launching a crypto token

Responsibilities
We are looking for ambitious and talented graduates, who hold a university degree/diploma in any field or have at least 3 months of work experience. Above all, we like to have driven, proactive graduates with a passion for blockchain, cryptocurrency and the desire to make a difference. The application

criteria are as follows:
• You must be willing to learn and commit to the 6-weeks training.
• You must have a laptop and access to the internet (Classes are online).
• You must commit to attending ALL the training sessions, except in cases of any illness or emergency.
