JOB DETAILS:
Impact Manager Circular Economies

Responsibilities
• Drives projects related to the topics of circular economy and regenerative business towards meaningful (financial, social, environmental) impact on low income businesses and consumers.
• Serves as our regional expert on the topic of Circular Economy & regenerative business in East Africa, by scoping and updating relevant market & industry insights, sharing these internally and externally and so becoming a focal point for our team and our partners.
• Scopes, builds and maintains a relevant network within East-Africa consisting of a mixture of business partners, technical experts, service providers, NGOs, funding partners, etc.
• Co-creates project proposals and plans for new projects together with the Business Development team.

Qualifications
• Degree in Social sciences, Agri business, Economics, Marketing, Sustainable Innovation, Product Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years professional experience focused on market research and insights gathering, data analysis and project evaluations.
• Knowledge and first-hand experience with the challenges and opportunities for doing Inclusive Business at the Base of the Pyramid.
• Eager to discover gaps and unfulfilled circular needs within the realm of circular economy and regenerative business for low income markets.
• Ability to design projects and partnerships that should help innovate new viable and impactful business models in the realm of Circular Economy & Regenerative business.
• Experience to drive - organize your team and the partners you work with to achieve the impact results you set out from the onset.
• Affinity with the BoP value seeking consumers and motivated entrepreneurs (not as beneficiaries) and a strong curiosity to better understand low-income markets.
• Eager to learn new skills to assist in projects.
• Ability and willingness to travel to project countries and remote (rural) places.
