JOB DETAILS:
IT Intern
Our client is seeking to recruit an intern within the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Unit. The Intern will assist in support and administration.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Under IT staff guidance, create accounts and configure end-user computer /POS systems.
• Assist in the maintenance of IT standards and documentation.
• Use remote tools for maintenance and support of ICT systems.
• Assist in configuring and setting up new fiscal machines.
• Assist in installation of applications (Clients) and documenting processes of installing fiscal devices.
• Capable of interpreting ideas and suggesting appropriate network troubleshooting mechanism.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, hardware, and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, hardware, and POS system management tools.
• Manage and monitor all installed software/hardware systems.
• Responsible for meeting daily maintenance service to achieve customer satisfaction through network availability.
Education/Qualification
• Diploma in Information and Technology.
• Understand customer and solution requirements and assist during surveys in the qualification processes by utilizing the company’s standard products and services portfolio.
• Be computer literate in standard software applications.
• Experience with monitoring systems.
• Must enjoy working with a variety people and projects.
• Proven experience and thorough understanding of all stages of system lifecycle: design, support, implementation.
