Our client Kenya Tea Packers (KETEPA) Ltd is Kenya‘s Premier Tea Blending, Packaging and Marketing Company with a countrywide distribution network offering refreshment to Kenyan households with leading brands, Fahari ya Kenya, Ketepa Pride , Safari Pure, Flavored and Specialty teas as Well as Maisha Water for the last 40 years.

To support and consolidate their market leadership position, talent development and enhancement of shareholder value, the company is seeking to recruit an outstanding, innovative and result-oriented Individual to fill the position of Head of Sales and Marketing.

ROLE PROFILE
Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of the company's overall strategic plan in line with vision, mission, volume and value objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing and executing the development marketing plans and individual brand plans to ensure they are through the supply chain

  • Ensure delivery and achievement of volume, value and profitability targets
  • Developing and implementing creative, corporate RR and merchandising activities in liaison with relevant service providers.
  • Recruiting, training, developing, coaching and motivating a competent team.
  • Allocating, monitoring It controlling budgets for ail marketing activities in line with the strategic plan.
  • Managing all external agencies to ensure that goods and services are competitive and meet given specifications and are delivered timely. (Creative, PR, Media, merchandising, promotion, digital, etc.)
  • Ensuring brand availability, visibility and activation in the market.
  • Driving the process of marketing evaluation and innovation In order to achieve maximum competitiveness in packaging, product, communications. availability, pricing and brand positioning.
  • Working closely with other company operations to ensure the marketing brand strategy is executed timely throughout the supply chain.
  • Monitoring and managing customer complaints and overseeing complaint handling and feedback.
  • Organizing, managing and coordinating the company's participation in exhibitions and shows.
  • Ensuring that product quality meets expectations of tea consumers and is consistent over time.
  • Route to market oversight and execution.

PERSON PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in a business related field
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Postgraduate Diploma In Marketing (CIM)
  • Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya
  • Leadership and analytical skills
  • At least eight (8) years’ experience in FMCG preferably in the food category or a company dealing with multi products;
  • Demonstrate experience in a marketing management role through product development, consumer insights, communication and marketing agencies management
