JOB DETAILS:
The Head of Quality Assurance will ensure that software solutions meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance and all external and internal requirements are met before any solutions are released to the customers. This role is directly responsible for defining the best practices and standards for quality assurance, control, outputs and identifying and proposing corrective actions for non-conformity issues. .

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Define the QA strategy and approach for all the company’s products and be ultimately responsible for ensuring product quality.
2. Lead and direct the QA team for excellent delivery
3. Involved in selection, induction and training of the QA team
4. Receive all escalations of all matters related to quality assurance and provide leadership in providing solutions to the issues.
5. Collaborate with stakeholder teams to establish company’s quality standards, polices, and procedures.
6. Provide quality ownership by regularly evaluating the set quality assurance standards in order to determine their adequacy and required improvement
7. Provide necessary tools and systems required by the team for managing quality testing and documentation.
8. Develop the scope of testing for the developed systems
9. Ensure that the developed systems comply with both in-house and industry standards of development
10. Guide the team in analysing, reviewing and assessing user requirements, specifications and models for testability
11. Set performance expectations and manage performance and development of the testing team
12. Prepare reports on non-compliance of the tested systems and or quality processes, root cause analysis and make recommendations for corrective action to the relevant teams
13. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers in case of International Standards and Best Practice appraisal of the organization
14. Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards in the Quality Assurance team
15. Evaluate the Quality Assurance Unit structure and team so as to plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the team as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth.
16. Coach and develop the testing team for continuous improvement
17. Approve the systems which meet the test requirements for deployment
18. Ensure that necessary documentation for released systems is provided including user manual, release notes history and test results

Requirements
1. Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science or its equivalent
2. Certification in Software Quality Assurance
3. At least five (5) years’ working experience in a similar role
4. Experience working in a fintech industry will be an added advantage
5. Strong technical skills in both manual and automation testing
6. Knowledge in risk – management, identification and testing
7. Demonstrated knowledge and advocacy for industry standards and best practices in QA
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
