JOB DETAILS:
Butali Sugar Mills Limited is an ultra-modem sugar factory within the heart of Kakamega County in the Western part of Kenya. BSML seeks to recruit suitable professionals for the following open position;
Head of Procurement & Stores - Reporting to Administrative Director .

Job Responsibilities
• Planning and Coordination of Procurement Departmental functions by delivering, storage and ensuring timely distribution of goods and services to user departments
• Implementing procurement policies and procedures for effective management of procurement services in the organization.
• Providing Technical support on matters relating to procurement in accordance with statutory requirements and procedures
• Preparing in liaison with respective User Departments and implementing the Organization's Procurement and Disposal plan in line with corporate objectives
• Developing strategies to improve Supplier performance and continuous appraisal
• Ensuring goods and services are ordered as per the required specifications and within the acceptable lead-time
• Inventory and Supplier management
• Maintain the inventory at the specialized work area in order to support the daily operation of the factory
• Ensure availability of merchandise and services by negotiating prices ad favorable credit terms approving contracts maintaining inventories.
• Participation in monthly stock takes the process and performing inventory audits at all warehouses, as required

• Degree in business or related field with at least five years relevant work experience which must have been gained at managerial level in a large and busy industrial or manufacturing concert.
• A person of High integrity and good interpersonal and communication skills
