Job Summary
You will lead on the creation of partnerships strategy to support Wefarm’s company strategy, and be the point person for establishing and maintaining successful relationships with strategic partners (e.g. payments solution provider, large donor orgs., governments). You will be the main point of contact for strategic partners in the UK, Europe US and in East Africa (KE, UG, TZ) across a range of industries and sectors to qualify, onboard and manage partnerships that support Wefarm’s long term vision and mission.
This includes identifying key partners based on Wefarm’s long term strategy, and crafting agreements (often multi-stakeholder) to create a win-win-win partnership for our members, Wefarm, and other stakeholders. This role requires excellent relationship building and project management skills, and most importantly, a real alignment with Wefarm’s vision and mission to make sure small-scale farmers are always at the centre of any partnership. .

Responsibilities
• Research, evaluate and plan new partnership opportunities, in line with Wefarm’s vision, mission and product development roadmap
• Negotiate and bring deals to completion with current and future partners
• Develop and lead detailed project management and execution of partnerships, in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders
• Work closely with multiple functions (Senior Leadership, Product, Finance) to identify new partnership opportunities, and maintain internal alignment across all stages of partnership
• Stay abreast of key industry trends to make recommendations on new partnership opportunities.
• Clearly articulate the strategic direction internally and externally
• Lead large scale grant applications and build relationships with high value grant providers
• Hire and manage Key Account Managers as needed for partnerships
• Identify and attend key industry events
• Manage partnerships budget to achieve yearly goals
• Work across multiple partners concurrently, often meeting tight deadlines and delivering complex projects.
