JOB DETAILS:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Head of Housekeeping is responsible and accountable for the organization's facilities management including cleaning, gardening and the management of the outsourced service contracts, to provide a conducive working environment for the organization's staff and external customers. .
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee and direct the cleaning activities for the organization
• Order cleaning materials and new items to ensure that housekeeping staff have the proper tools to perform their job duties
• Facilitate budget preparation and implementation for the house keeping section.
• Plan work schedule for housekeeping staff, monitor and evaluate their performance
• Prepare monthly and weekly reports for the section.
• Supervise both internal and external housekeeping staff to ensure productive work environment.
• Management and coordination of outsourced cleaning and landscaping service providers.
• Ensure modern methods, techniques and materials are used to promote efficiency and effectiveness in provision of housekeeping services.
• Oversee training of new staff in the section on work procedures and policies to ensure effective service,
• Monitoring risk processes and ensuring that health and safety measures are adhered.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Academic: A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management
• Evidence of attendance of refresher and capacity building courses will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of eight (8) years' postgraduate experience in Housekeeping role, three (3) of which should be at the level of Head of House
• Keeping or equivalent senior position in a busy establishment
