HEAD OF GOVERNMENT RELATIONS & INSTITUTIONAL SALES
Role Purpose: Position is responsible and accountable for achieving the company's long-term sales and profitability goals specific to the broader National government, County Governments and state Corporations.. .
Job Responsibilities
• Maintains excellent relationship with the Government of the day with an aim of getting first-hand information on new government regulations/directives in the motor industry
• Follow up on post bidding for negotiations on tender award and liaise with Legal Department on Contract interpretation to ensure compliance of both parties.
• Ensure that all the mandatory and Technical requirements of tender process are adhered to.
• Develop and deliver product knowledge training, internally and externally to improve knowledge of competition, market opportunities and product application. Assists with ongoing training of sales Executives serving assigned markets.
• Evaluate channels of direct and/or distribution sales for specific market segments(s), develop strategic plans to address market channels, communicate plans and attain buy-in from management and Sales Executives, and implement plans in an effective manner.
• Responsible for analyzing, identifying, and driving sales and increasing market share for CMC Brands with assigned market segments. Increase sales by expertly managing the sales relationship between CMC and assigned market segments..

Job Qualifications
• Degree - Business/Marketing or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Master's Degree will be an added advantage
• Professional Industry Certification in the related field or Post-Graduate courses in Customer Relations is desired.
• Minimum of 10 years sales and business experience - Government Sales or other experiences that are relevant to this field
• Must have previous Public Relations experience dealing with Government/Corporates
• Proven track record of successfully selling to Corporates, direct and through distribution partners
• Strong consultative selling skills, organizations and planning skills, and PC skills.
• Excellent written/verbal communications skills
• Good understanding of policies and procedures of Government Entities
