JOB DETAILS:

Head of Credit
Amica Savings 8 Credit Ltd, a fast growing deposit taking Sacco with a network of 17 branches wishes to recruit a competent self-driven individual; with high leadership skills to fill the position of Head of Credit. This position will be based at the Sacco Head Office in Murang'a Town.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Credit will be responsible for growth of the Society" s loan portfolio while ensuring quality and health of the loan book is maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Monitoring and reporting performance of the loan portfolio.
  •  Growing Amica loan book by working with branches and business development teams to maximize on available opportunities.
  • Advising the Management on credit matters and effective implementation of credit policies.
  •  Setting and evaluating performance of credit staff across the Sacco.
  •  Managing relations with internal and external parties involved in credit management.
  •  Embedding credit risk management practices and ensuring adherence to risk management practices in line with Amica credit policy and standards.
  •  Putting in place and implementing effective credit management, monitoring, collection and recovery strategies.
  •  Preparing, analyzing and submitting regular reports in relation to loan applications, disbursements, repayments, overdue accounts, recovery plans and risk exposures.
    Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or relevant qualifications.
  •  University degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial or Economics and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  •  Professional qualification and certifications in credit management
  •  At least ten (10) years‘ experience in a busy credit environment, five (5) of which must be at senior management level.
  •  Team player with excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and decision making skills.
  •  Excellent analytical, planning, organizing, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.s.

  • Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Tax Compliance Clearance
  •  Certificate of Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
