Details:
The HSE Engineer will work collaboratively with our team on 88 Nairobi Condominium Project. In this role, you will oversee tasks delegated to you by the Head of Project Management / Construction Manager, coordinate with all necessary contractors, consultants and service providers. You will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently, deploy Automation and Controls Solutions Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems program, investigate incidents, determine root cause and develop corrective actions..

Job Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with the whole project team, contributing to the entire project lifecycle.
• Organize and monitor schedules and see that deadlines are met.
• Coordinate efforts with the Head of Project Management/Project Director and with outside contractors, consultants efficiently.
• Report updates verbally and in written form to the project director.
• managing parts of construction projects
• overseeing building work
• Setting out sites and organizing facilities.
• checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
• supervising contracted staff
• ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
• liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
• providing technical advice and solving problems on site
• preparing safety reports and filling in other paperwork
• liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered too


  Job Skills:
• Has experience in the high-rise building projects.
• Has demonstrated experience and leadership in managing and coordinating activities between consultants and contractors
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving skills.
• Able to proactively address potential issues
• Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
• Positive and encouraging personality.

  Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Must have a min experience 5 years as Hsse Manager.
• Related computer software knowledge and experience with Ms Office.
• International Safety Certificates (Nebosh, Osha)
