Weza Care Solutions is an organization in Kenya that exists to support charities by providing innovative solutions to care for and protect vulnerable children and families.
We are looking for a motivated individual to take up the role of a Graphic Designer under the Media department.
The Graphics Designer will be responsible for consulting with their manager on the project specifications, defining project standards and scope.
He or she will also be responsible for advising on the best, current practices for visual communication; provide technical expertise on photography techniques, graphic design software, as well as layout and color management.

Responsibilities
• Develop designs that suit the organization’s purposes/message
• Use innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost
• Present finalized ideas and concepts to account
• Develop concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustration, corporate branding and demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and work
• Advise management on strategies and emerging trends
• Handle all designs and submit for approval and printing
• Provide insight on emerging trends and needs of the organization and its partners

Required skills and competencies
• Background in graphics design or any other related courses.
• 2-3 years of experience
• Proven record and mastery of design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, All Adobe, Photoshop design with top notch experience
• Ability to work within stipulated brand guidelines without compromising
• Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms.
• Advanced knowledge of standard software packages, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud etc
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• A keen eye for details and visual composition
• Understanding of communication, marketing, production, corporate identity, advertisements and multimedia design.
• Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
• Ability to work methodically and meet strict deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
