Co-Impact currently operates as a fiscally-sponsored project of the New Venture Fund (NVF). Over the next year, Co-Impact will be expanding to build a second fund focused on gender equality and women’s leadership and changing our operating structure so that we spin out from NVF and build an independent institution.

Where You Fit
Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations (ADO), the Operations Manager will support the ADO in managing grantmaking and funder compliance, including agreements, due diligence, reporting, and CRM and Grants Management systems (GMS); as well as support the Director of Human Resources in talent acquisition, PEO management, people and culture. The role demands a high level of organization and attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong project management skills, and familiarity with using and managing technology software and platforms.

The Role
Core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Working closely with the Program Team and the ADO in the compilation of all grant materials, including conducting thorough reviews and analyses of proposals, conducting appropriate due diligence, guiding program partners and Co-Impact colleagues through the operations end of the grantmaking process, raising compliance issues for review, reviewing reports from and managing disbursements to program partners, ensuring grant data is appropriately captured in the GMS, and otherwise ensuring efficient and effective management of a portfolio of grants.
• Managing and conducting ongoing training on grants-management-related topics for new and existing staff, as needed.
• Working closely with the Philanthropic Collaboration team in funding opportunities, compliance, reporting, and capturing the relevant data in the CRM.
• Managing vendor procurement and liaising with the General Counsel in drafting and executing agreements with the partners and vendors.
• Supporting the Director of Human Resources in talent acquisition, PEO and payroll management, performance reviews, people & culture, and other related functions.
• Coordinating the operations workplan and managing operations projects of varying types and scopes.
• Conducting research on various policies, procedures, and protocols related to operations, grantmaking, compliance, and human resources.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area.
• At least 5 years of experience within operations, consulting, and/or project management work.
• Experience in grants management. Thorough understanding of grantmaking policies, procedures, and due diligence with a program partner-centered approach. Experience with cross-border grantmaking strongly preferred.
• Strong planning and project management skills with high attention to detail, ability to multitask and move things to completion. Experience in digital project management tools preferred.
• Experience with complex contracts, agreements, and other related materials.
• Experience in talent acquisition and people & culture management.
• Experience in working with Professional Employment Organizations (PEOs) to employ and retain a global team is a plus.
• A general understanding of finance and budgeting components.
• Demonstrated ability to gain insights from relevant experts and advisors and make recommendations that enable decision-making.
• Ability to innovate process improvements, generate solutions and ideas.
• Experience interacting and communicating effectively with members of a complex organization at multiple levels.
• Experience collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners to achieve goals.
• Ability to write and communicate ideas with clarity.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment within a diverse team across geographies and time zones.
• Proficiency in technology, such as Microsoft Suite and Google Suite products, Slack, Zoom, cloud storage platforms, etc. Comfort in learning and using new digital tools. Experience working with Salesforce-based solutions strongly preferred.
• Experience working in the nonprofit sector strongly preferred.
• Willingness to be a strategic thought partner with a lead-by-example attitude.
• A willingness to be flexible with working hours and international travel.

Benefits
This position is full-time. The annual salary will be $100,000 plus a generous benefits package including a significant allowance for paid time off.
