PHASTAR are expanding our team in Nairobi, Kenya and we are looking for exceptional individuals who would like to train and develop as statistical programmers. We are looking to invest in those who have a background in computing with an interest in developing your career by getting involved in the analysis of clinical data. PHASTAR provides statistical consulting and clinical trial data collection and reporting services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

About the Position
PHASTAR work within the pharmaceutical industry and use SAS ( www.sas.com) as a programming language on a daily basis. We are looking for individuals to train as statistical programmers.
You will receive extensive training for several weeks before being assigned a dedicated mentor to help you become a proficient SAS programmer. Upon completing your training, you will begin to work on projects with our clients and begin to make a difference in the development of drugs within the pharmaceutical industry.

Once completing the training programme, you will be able to:
• Understand the process of collecting and analysing data from clinical trials
• Analyse and report data from clinical trials
• Produce tables, figures and listings that would become part of a clinical report
• Manipulate data and create analysis datasets using SAS programming
• Understand pharmaceutical industry standards (e.g. CDISC standards - SDTM and ADaM)

Candidate Requirement:
• Educated to degree level within a computing, science or mathematical background
• Exceptional and highly motivated candidates with equivalent or lower qualifications with experience in computing, science or mathematics above will also be considered
• Experience working in a computer programming environment is desired
• Genuine interest in data analysis and computer programming and working within the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication (in English)
• A clear thinker with a logical approach
• Hard-working with a positive attitude
• Aptitude for learning and developing your skill set
• Ability to work in the Kenya on a full-time basis without any restrictions
• The role is office based in Nairobi. However, under the current circumstances (COVID) the role will be working remotely from home (WFH) until further notice
