JOB DETAILS:
GENERAL MANAGER FOR A MEDIUM SIZED HOTEL ALONG LAKE NAIVASHA. An exciting opportunity is available for a General Manager of medium sized hotel with a strong brand and a rich history. We are looking for a person who is innovative, forward-thinking, solution centered with excellent leadership qualities. AGM who, through his/ her diligence, ambition, strategic thinking and strong leadership skills will influence and inspire our staff to do their very best every day, creating an exceptional experience for our guests and making every guest feel cared for valued, and respected. .

Job Responsibilities;
• This position is responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: • Deliver on Revenue, Costs and profitability targets of the Lodge.
• Ensure guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded. Manage all property issues including capital projects and refurbishment
• Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
• Manage communication with various stakeholders. Manage all aspects of business planning, budgeting and strategy formulation

• Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position
• Possess strong commercial acumen, with experience in increasing profitability. • Strong leadership and communication skills. Hands on approach, self-motivation and a strong passion to succeed. Flexibility to work on a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights and week-ends.
• Hands on operational experience with sales and marketing background.
• General Computer Literacy.
• Strong HR skills including an advanced staff development skillset.
• In-depth knowledge of the tourism sector in Kenya and abroad.
• Knowledge of environmental conservation will be an added advantage
