Purpose of Role:
Key support to the Financial Controller and Finance Director in managing the Overheads for the business. Execute a set of activities that helps in monitoring, controlling and evaluating performance against plan and generating insights to inform decisions and action. Scope of the role covers financial analysis and controlling activities for Overheads

Performs regular financial analysis to transform data (actual, historical & plans) to a form that helps in the understanding of the accounts and to inform decisions.

  Top 3-5 Accountabilities:
  
•  Material variances are analyzed and explained investigated and the stakeholders are contacted and agree on course of actions for the variances.
  
•  Prepares Accrual and Prepayment schedules for Balance Sheet Reconciliations for O/H. Manage month end accruals.
  
•  Lead the O/H Annual operating plan for each of the functions. SME for Ana plan owning the market submissions. Lead the detailed planning applying ZBB for non-staff cost spend engaging the functional directors to plan.
  
•  Business partner functional directors (market Execs) to help them understand the drivers of their costs and come up with solutions to manage their O/H and deliver on their commitments.
  
•  Supports Financial Controller on finance input into Exec / above market performance reviews, town halls and any other presentations required. Support on statutory reports to for Board, investor relations etc.
  
•  Ensures accurate reporting overheads (O/H) at the end of each month including all relevant accruals and other obligations reflected.
  
•  Lead and own the monthly R&O process, coordinating and holding other departments to account. Ensure accurate and timely submission of BFC requirements.
  

Qualifications:

•  Qualified Professional Accountant- CPA(K)/ACCA/ACMA
  
•  Business related Degree.
  

Experience:

•  Minimum 2 years working experience in a multinational corporate environment, with exposure to some of the following areas:
  
•  Proven track record in the area of Financial Accounting / Reporting, and/or Financial Controlling experience is strongly preferred
  
•  Internal / external audit experience and/or SOX is an advantage
  
•  Experience with Shared services process activities is an advantage
  
•  Capable of working in a deadline driven environment.
  
•  Working in a multi-national finance environment
  
•  Demonstrated ability to successfully engage senior managers
  Systems knowledge
  
•  Relevant experience with integrated systems such as SAP is an advantage.
  
•  MS applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
  
•  BFC knowledge is an advantage
  
•  Visual Basic knowledge is an advantage
