JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities:
The engineer will be responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of water systems to ensure stable, reliable and efficient provision of 24/7 water supply and sewerage services.

Specific responsibilities:
• Designs, operate and maintain water infrastructure systems, including but not limited to dams, water & sewer treatment, and distribution.
• Prepare detailed technical designs, reports, estimates and drawings.
• Implement projects according to technical standards, schedules, and timelines.
• Carry out research on water and sanitation technologies.
• Participate in the preparation of tender documents, evaluations, and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Promote safety practices at the workplace.

Requirements
Hard skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Water Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in designs, operation, and maintenance of water infrastructure systems
• CAD, Hydraulics & Hydrologic Modeling software experience.
• Membership with relevant bodies will be added advantage.

Soft skills:
• Mature, pragmatic and flexible.
• Team player but comfortable working autonomously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Rigorous and organized approach.
• Good attention to detail.
• Hands-on, ready to roll up the sleeves.
