JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
• The successful candidate will support with consenting study participants, qualitative and quantitative data collection and data management assignments for the project during the implementation of the Caregiver Skills Training (CST) Intervention. This project will take place in the informal settlements of Dagoretti and Ruaraka sub-counties.

Responsibilities
• Undertake training in good clinical practice (GCP), research ethics, SOP and other project associated training;
• Assist in community engagement processes;
• Assist in logistical preparation for recruitment, mobilization, and consenting processes;
• Introduce the study to the participants, screen for eligibility, and seek for their informed consent to participate in SPARK study activities;
• Coordinate appointments and referrals for caregivers and children with developmental disorders;
• Conduct data collection and ensure quality, ethics and COVID-19 safety protocols are adhered to;
• Ensure proper storage of all records and raw data;
• Support with transcribing qualitative data;
• When called upon, support SPARK research teams to develop and implement other study specific activities; and
• Enhance health and safety aspects of activities being undertaken.

Requirements
• Higher diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Education or other relevant fields in Child Health;
• Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in qualitative and/or mixed methods research including conducting surveys, interviews, and group discussions;
• Training in Good Clinical Practice;
• A research background and knowledge on childhood disabilities is desirable;
• Experience working with children with disabilities is an added advantage;
• Proficiency in collecting data using electronic interface e.g. RedCAP; and
• Experience administering psychosocial instruments and longitudinal data collection is an added advantage.
