EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO LEASE AND OPERATE EATERY UNITS AT UNITED STATES INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY-AFRICA, NAIROBI.

TENDER REF: USIU-A/EO1/2/EU/2023

United States International University-Africa hereby invites reputable and experienced restaurateurs/hoteliers to lease, operate and provide catering services in an outlet located at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Ground floor. The outlet has four (4) kitchens each measuring 86.4 square feet with a common 90-seater food court.

The lease will not exceed a maximum period of five (5) years and will have a clear exit clause, and the tenant shall bear the costs of all utilities not limited to electricity, water, cooking gas, cleaning, and security. The facility will be leased on "as-is" basis and the tenant will be responsible for carrying out renovations, rebranding, refurbishments, marketing and operations.

Interested persons/parties may view and inspect the said outlets and food court on January 16, 2023 at 11.00 am. During the site visit, the contact person shall be Operations Director, USIU-Africa.

Interested parties should submit an expression of interest together with copies of the following mandatory documents:

1. Company profile
2. CR 12 business registration certificate
3. At least two CVs of Director/s or key Managers
4. Certificate of Incorporation or Registration
5. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate and PIN certificate
6. Single Business License for existing facility or facilities
7. Registration from the relevant Hotel Regulatory Authority or equivalent recognition licenses in hospitality industry
8. Health and safety/food handling policy
9. Current office location
10. Audited financial statements for the last three (3) years
11. Current list of clients where similar services have been carried out and the number of people served in each of the outlets. Provide recommendation letters from the clients and contacts
12. A statement on demonstrated experience in successfully running a busy catering unit in the last five (5) years in a reputable university in Kenya
