Category I expert :
Minimum requirements:
- Qualifications and skills required : University level education: At least a masters degree in Social Sciences or Gender Equality or, in its absence, a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences plus at least two years of professional experience in Gender Equality work in addition to the
required general professional experience described in the experts category I (in total 144 years ) Strong analytical and writing skills.
- General professional experience : At least 12 years' experience in the sectors related to the lot (Human Rights, Democracy and Peace)

- Specific professional experience :
- A minimum of 6 years working experience on gender analysis, gender mainstreaming and women’s rights
- At least 2 working experiences of working in the sub-Saharan region and or African lower middle income countries
- written experience of conducting gender work, analysis or data collection in at least 2 assignments
- Language skills : Fluent in English (oral and written)
The following requirements for the team of experts would be an additional asset:
- Work experience in Kenya and specifically on Gender matters
- Specific experience and expertise on the key sectoral sectors identified in the ToRs
- Knowledge of EU external relation policies and at least some of the external action financial instruments and/or EDF.
- Knowledge of the EU Gender Action Plans II and III
- Knowledge of Swahili.
