JOB DETAILS:The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer plays a critical role in enhancing PayGo’s Quality Management framework through following best practices for hardware and firmware quality assurance testing processes.
What you would be expected to do
• Perform incoming and outgoing quality inspections on Cylinder Smart Meters
• Support Senior QA Engineers with troubleshooting Cylinder Smart Meter faults
• Support Senior QA Engineers with testing new firmware releases for the Cylinder Smart Meter and next generation hardware
• Test hardware prototypes, analyse and interpret performance data
• Test end of line functional testing tools to be used in hardware production lines
• Monitor hardware and firmware performance in the field
• Perform maintenance activities including repairs, and modifications to existing hardware
• Assist in executing work orders for hardware
You might be a strong candidate if you
• Have a Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Mechatronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Possess familiarity with raspberry pi, Arduino and esp32
• Are experienced with Python
• Are experienced with basic lab equipment such as mustimeters and power supplies
• Possess soldering experience
• Are experienced with oscilloscopes
• Are a team player
• Have a deep desire to learn
JOB DETAILS:
The Quality Assurance Technician will support Quality Assurance Engineers in evaluating hardware issues as well as performing repairs. They will be instrumental in the quality inspection of incoming devices and executing work orders for outgoing meters.
What you would be expected to do
QA testing & HW repairs
• Perform QA tests on devices
• Perform tests and repairs as dictated by senior technicians and Engineers
• Create repair guides
• Meet required testing/ screening rate set for specific stations
• Organize meters by specific issue categories in order to increase speed and accuracy of repair activities
Cylinder Smart Meter (CSM) work order processing
• Process B2B and B2C work orders in a timely and accurate manner
B2B/ B2C support
• Assist with triaging field issues
• Use available web tools and dashboards to identify meters exhibiting unhealthy traits
• Perform high-level debugging for field returned devices and ensure issue logs are accurate
