Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up electrical installtions. Your job will involve checking/reporting on-site works performed by a 3rd-party, avoiding troubleshooting malfunctions, blackouts and anticipating technical issues.

Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this scope, the candidate must be first and foremost responsible individual with great attention to safety precautions. She/He must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems.

The goal will be mainly focused on a substation installation, its transmission line, and the identification/routing/connections from the transformer stations to the delivery station (Medium Voltage device) to avoid mistakes, to minimize the accident risks and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.

MISSION

• Understand the execute plans of electrical wiring and other electrical systems
  
• Monitor the lightening protection.
  
• Communicate with the Engineering team for each breach, confusion and interpretation in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
  
• Participate to the project meeting by sharing on-site feedbacks by maintaining KPI

PROFILE

• Engineering school degree, BS degree in engineering, Advanced MS Office skills
  
• Proven experience as an electrician, Experience in industrial electrical systems
  
• Fluent English (spoken/written), Swahili (spoken), driving license

Key skills :

• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.)
  
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
  
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts
