JOB DETAILS:
Driver - Pool Car Drivers
NKCC/HR.194. /DRV-PC/19/01/2022

Job Purpose:
To transport company personnel and maintain the company vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Driving the Company vehicle as authorized
2. Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments
3. Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles
4. Ensuring security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road
5. Monitoring and reporting expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles
6. Overseeing transport management
7. Preparing and submitting reports on transport when need arises and
8. Ensuring safety of passengers and/or goods therein.
9. Any other duties as assigned by immediate

Qualifications and Personal Specifications
1. At least served in the grade of Driver for at least four (4) year
2. Minimum KCSE D (Plain) or its equivalent
3. Occupational Trade Test III Certificate
4. A valid driving license category (BCE) free from any current endorsements(s) for classes of the vehicles the driver is required to drive
5. Certificate in a supervisory course from a recognized institution
6. Certificate in Customer Care from a recognized institution
7. A defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from any other recognized institution
8. A Certificate of Good Conduct (renewable after two (2) years)
9. A First Aid Certificate course from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized institution not more than one (1) year old
10. Computer proficiency certificate and
11. An accident-free driving period of 10 years.
