JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Vice Chancellor, the successful candidate will provide exemplary strategic leadership in the Division of University Advancement. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure robust internal and external communications using traditional and new media platforms.
• Ensure high visibility of the USIU-Africa brand by actively engaging both internal (students, faculty, staff, and governing bodies) and external stakeholders (media, alumni, parents, public and private sectors, etc.)
• Promote strong alumni engagement with the University.
• Mobilize and promote the establishment of productive partnerships and linkages with comparative and aspirational higher educational Institutions, government and public agencies, the private sector, community organizations, philanthropic foundations, intergovernmental and international agencies, and foreign embassies.
• Develop and oversee activities to attract significant non-tuition revenues including grants, donations and entrepreneurial activities as the university looks to diversify its revenue streams.
• Oversee the University's Institutional Research function, including data generation, conducting surveys, monitoring and evaluation of the University's Strategic Plan and annual Scorecard.
• Oversee the University's participation in reputable regional and global university rankings.

• Administrative and leadership experience preferably in an accredited institution of higher education.
Job Qualifications:
• Masters degree in a relevant field.
• Proven success in fundraising/development and demonstrable participation in regional and international fundraising/development forums, such as the Council for the Advancement of Support for Education (CASE).
• 15 years of relevant experience, with 8 of them in senior management.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and use of prospect databases.
• Demonstrated ability as reflected in work performance.
