Digital Content Creator

Sarova Hotels is a leading hotel group in Kenya. We are looking to fill the position of a Digital Content Creator based at Sarova Hotels – Head Office The following is the profile of the successful candidate:
Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager

Responsibilities
• Ability to develop concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations.
• Develop website and digital copy.
• Create and edit videos for digital platforms, i.e., YouTube.
• Understand briefs and develop both copy and design/video.
• Should display a high level of creativity in design creation and illustration.
• Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, font style and size.
• Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.
• Liaising with the team to ensure fast brief delivery within the deadlines.
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
• Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
• Ability to write well–optimized blogs.
• Collaborate with all teams to ensure consistency of designs across various media outlets.
• Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive and market trends.

Job and Personal Specifications
• Degree or Diploma in graphics design or related field.
• Professional certificate in graphics design will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in graphics design, video production and copywriting.
• Excellent skills and expertise in Adobe suite products i.e., Photoshop, illustrator, premier pro and after effects among other editing software.
• Expert at phone photography and videography for digital platforms.

Skills
• Proven graphic designing experience.
• Proven copy writing experience.
• Proven video editing and production experience.
• Proven blog writing experience.
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
• A strong portfolio of video editing experience.
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
• A degree in Design, Fine Arts or a related field is a plus.
