Context
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment (http://www.unenvironment.org). The Corporate Services Division is the guardian of UN Environment’s corporate interest, mitigating its exposure to risk and supporting the organization with management tools, plans and related capacity building. It oversees UN Environment’s efficient and effective management, in line with UN Environment's accountability requirements, rules, regulations and UN core values. This UNV assignment is part of UNEPs initiative to standardize reporting for various stakeholders - individual units, divisions, senior management and member states - using a common reporting tool that will be used throughout the organization.

Task description
Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Business Intelligence Team Leader his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UNV Data Analysis Assistant will:
• Assist in the creation of interactive content to promote Power BI and its usage in the organization.
• Assist in gathering and documenting requirements from clients as well as in front-end design of dashboards.
• Assists with maintaining an inventory of organizational needs and requirements, and assists with reports and communication
• Assists with process improvement mechanisms
• Assists with data acquisition and data cleansing
• Assists in maintaining databases, with data collection efforts, create statistics
• Assists with the identification and analysis of patterns in data using standard techniques
• Assists with the preparation of data sets and responds to queries; and maintains/updates web pages.
• Assist in the extraction of data sets from SAP business objects
• Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor
